It’s a unique interview because he honed in on the trials we’ve been through that I only alluded to in the book, like surviving an abusive father and being placed in a foster home, like the eight-year-long $800,000 lawsuit with the SEC (I won), like losing our business and island home in the recession, like my wife’s battle with cancer and my decision then to change our destiny through writing.
I can sum up the interview in one sentence: No matter what hand you are dealt in life, if you’re a writer, writing finds a way.
